Fort William Lifelong Learning Retreat
This project reimagines an existing concrete building in Fort William as a lifelong learning retreat that combines making, education, and community. Focused on adaptive reuse, it keeps the original structure while introducing new timber extensions and sustainable systems. Divided into structural, environmental, and building principles, the design explores how old and new construction can work together — using local materials, passive design, and renewable energy to create a resilient, low-carbon space for craft and collaboration.
