Reforesting Pavilion — Camas nan Geall, Ardnamurchan
The Reforesting Pavilion sits gently within the ruins of a former Highland farmstead, overlooking a landscape shaped by centuries of change. Raised on slender timber stilts, the structure floats above the old stone walls, allowing history and new growth to coexist. Made from Douglas Fir, charred larch, and stone, it weathers naturally into its surroundings, blending with the rugged terrain. Inside, the pavilion offers a quiet place to pause and observe the return of native woodland a space that invites reflection, care, and connection to the land. More than a shelter, it becomes part of the rewilding process itself, a marker of renewal in a place once defined by loss.
